The latest arrivals continue to demonstrate PierFerd’s rapid growth and appeal as a destination for sophisticated legal talent from BigLaw firms and boutique peers, drawn by PierFerd’s collaborative, tech-enabled, client-focused model. Contained below are additional Partners not previously announced during the month.
Giovanni D. Antonucci Di Cesare joins in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as a Partner in the Employment Department, bringing significant experience across a range of labor, employment, and immigration issues. He represents businesses, non-profits, and institutions in single-plaintiff, collective action, and class action litigation. Giovanni also counsels clients in navigating and complying with federal, state, and local regulations and represents employers with respect to a variety of business immigration matters, including obtaining employment-based nonimmigrant visas, such as H-1B visas, L visas, O visas, TN visas, R visas, as well as immigrant visas (EB-1 – EB-5) and J-1 visa waivers, and advising on global workforce development and remote working.
Prior to joining PierFerd, Giovanni practiced at Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellot, LLC. He earned a B.A., magna cum laude, from Washington & Jefferson College, a J.D., cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, and an L.L.M. with commendation from Nottingham Trent University. He is admitted to practice in New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.
Marquetta J. Bryan joins in Atlanta, Georgia as a Partner in the Litigation Department, bringing over 20 years’ experience in employment and commercial litigation. Marquetta is known for her strategic counsel and advocacy. With extensive experience representing clients before federal and state administrative agencies - including the EEOC, DOL, and NLRB - as well as in administrative, state and federal courts, she delivers practical and effective solutions to complex workplace challenges. Her practice spans employment, education and general commercial litigation, day-to-day counseling, policy development, and conducting internal investigations.
Additionally, Marquetta advises clients on procurement and contract matters encompassing award determinations, purchasing policies, contract negotiation and review, and claims resolutions. Marquetta also has considerable insurance defense litigation experience, litigating in cases covering premises liability, construction, municipal liability, and coverage issues.
Prior to joining PierFerd, Marquetta was a Partner of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP and Copeland, Stair, Valz, & Lovell, LLP. Previously, she was a Regional Attorney within the U.S. Department of Housing and Development (HUD). Marquetta earned a B.A. from Emory University and a J.D., cum laude, from Cleveland State University College of Law. She is admitted to practice in Georgia.
Eugene (Gene) R. Egdorf joins in Houston, Texas as a Partner in the Litigation Department, bringing more than 30 years’ experience as a trial lawyer across various commercial, intellectual property, and products liability matters. He represents clients in patent infringement, fraud, deceptive trade practices, and breach of contract matters. Gene also has experience advising clients on issues pertaining to antitrust and sports law.
Prior to joining PierFerd, Gene led boutique firm Egdorf Law PLLC and was a Partner of Daniels & Tredennick PLLC. Gene earned a B.A., with Honors, and J.D., with Honors and Order of The Coif, from the University of Texas at Austin. He is admitted to practice in Texas.
Andrea Kim joins in Houston, Texas as a Partner in the Litigation Department, bringing more than 25 years’ experience successfully prosecuting and defending claims on behalf of public companies and privately held businesses and advising clients on a range of complex commercial litigation matters. Her practice focus is fiduciary and fraud matters and corporate governance nationally and internationally, advising and trying cases for bankruptcy trustees, private equity firms, domestic and international financial institutions, financial services companies, and creditors. She is a renowned authority and published author on audit and accounting malpractice matters.
Prior to joining PierFerd, Andrea was a Partner of Daniels & Tredennick PLLC and Diamond McCarthy LLP. Previously, she was an Associate at K&L Gates LLP (successor to Hughes & Luce LLP). Andrea earned a B.B.A. in Accounting and Honors Business, an M.B.A., a Sord Scholar, and a J.D. from the University of Texas at Austin. She is admitted to practice in New York and Texas.
Rebecca Muff Randolph joins in Houston, Texas as a Partner in the Litigation Department, bringing more than ten (10) years’ experience representing clients in sophisticated financial litigation in state and federal courts nationwide. Her practice focuses on fraud, director / officer liability, auditor malfeasance, preference and fraudulent transfer, breach of contract, and construction defect and delay claims. Rebecca also oversees litigation strategy for financial services clients and advises public and private clients and bankruptcy trustees in investigations relating to complex financial transactions.
Prior to joining PierFerd, Rebecca was a Partner of Daniels & Tredennick PLLC. Rebecca earned both a B.A., summa cum laude, in English and a B.B.A., summa cum laude, in Accounting from Texas A&M University and a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law. She is admitted to practice in Minnesota and Texas.
Will Stafford joins in Houston, Texas as a Partner in the Corporate Department, bringing over 15 years’ experience in business transactions, securities offerings, and corporate governance. He regularly acts as a trusted business advisor to public and private companies, financial institutions, individuals, and local governments in connection with their most complex transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions, venture capital investments, and private placements. He also assists clients with joint ventures, commercial agreements, real estate transactions, regulation and compliance, and corporate structuring and formation matters.
Prior to joining PierFerd, Will was a Partner of Daniels & Tredennick PLLC and was General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for NextSeed, a financial technology company. He earned a B.S. and a M.A. in Economics from Tulane University, and a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. He is admitted to practice in Georgia and Texas.
Brian D. Stoltz joins in Atlanta, Georgia as a Partner in the Litigation Department, bringing over ten (10) years’ experience focusing on complex commercial litigation matters involving intellectual property, trade secrets, business and employment disputes, trademark infringement, breach of contract, and noncompete provisions.
Prior to joining PierFerd, Brian practiced at Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP and previously at Miller & Martin PLLC. Brian earned a B.B.A. and a J.D. from the University of Georgia. He is admitted to practice in Georgia.
Alicia N. Washington joins in New York as a Partner in the Litigation Department, bringing more than 15 years’ experience handling government and internal investigations, and complex commercial litigation. A former supervisory federal prosecutor, she has overseen, investigated and prosecuted a variety of federal crimes, including fraud and financial crimes, money laundering, national security offenses and cybercrime, public corruption, civil rights violations, and matters involving transnational criminal organizations.
Prior to joining PierFerd, Alicia was Special Counsel and Chief of the Criminal Division at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Maryland. She has additional experience as an Assistant U.S. Attorney at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York. Previously, she was a Partner of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP. Alicia earned a B.A. from Yale University and a J.D. from Columbia Law School. She is admitted to practice in New York.
The latest appointments follow the arrivals of Julie Herzog (Partner, Corporate), Christine (Chris) B. Amrhein (Partner, Corporate), and Connor Slivocka (Partner, Corporate), who recently joined PierFerd from Fortis Law Partners LLC.
Eric J. Peterman also joined earlier this month in New York as a Partner in the Corporate Department. He brings more than 30 years’ experience, including at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP where he was a Partner for four (4) years and Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP where he was a Partner for 16 years. He advises clients on complex financial transactions and alternative funding structures. Eric holds an A.B., summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, Dean’s List from Harvard and a J.D., magna cum laude, from Harvard Law School, where he was an editor of the Harvard Law Review.
Jeremy Rucker likewise joined in Dallas, Texas as a Partner in the Corporate Department, bringing nearly ten (10) years’ experience, including at Spencer Fane LLP where he was a Partner, advising clients on data privacy, security, and incident response matters. He holds a B.B.A., summa cum laude, from The University of Texas at Arlington and a J.D from Texas A&M University School of Law.
Allison M. Bustin also joined in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as a Junior Partner in the Employment Department. She brings significant experience in labor, employment, and immigration issues, particularly in an international context. She has a background in international development, is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer, and speaks Spanish.
Prior to joining PierFerd, Allison practiced at Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott, LLC. She earned a B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh, an M.A. in International Development from the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public and International Affairs, and a J.D., magna cum laude and Order of The Coif, from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
