About

Brian Stoltz is a litigator specializing in complex commercial litigation, trade secrets and restrictive covenants, intellectual property, and employment litigation. He has extensive experience litigating cases under Title VII, ADA, and the Defend Trade Secrets Act. Brian also advises clients regarding enforceability of restrictive covenants and compliance with federal employment laws.

  • Brian is a former summer associate in the City of Atlanta’s Law Department, where he played a role in projects involving trademark law, the Office of Entertainment, the Aviation Department, and city contract negotiations.

    Brian earned his law degree from the University of Georgia. During law school, Brian was a finalist in the GRAMMY Foundation’s 16th Annual Entertainment Law Initiative Writing Competition, vice president of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society, and executive editor of the Journal of Intellectual Property Law. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Georgia as well.

    Outside of work, Brian enjoys stand-up comedy and has performed at comedy clubs and in comedy festivals all over the country. He also served on the advisory board of the Alliance Theatre, Atlanta’s Tony Award-winning national theater, and currently serves on the New Works Committee.

Representative Experience

  • Represented a client in international arbitration involving a dispute over a licensing agreement with claims of $4 million in damages.

  • Prevailed on a motion for summary judgment in litigation involving claims of breach of contract, tortious deprivation of an interest in a corporation, and breach of fiduciary duties.

  • Won a case before the Georgia Court of Appeals reversing the decision of a state court that had granted attorneys' fees to a plaintiff.

  • Secured a motion to dismiss following oral arguments based on an exculpatory clause in a contract.
