Former Head of Corporate/Securities practice at Fortis Law, Julie Herzog, joins with Christine Amrhein and Connor Slivocka - strengthening PierFerd’s Corporate, Commercial Transactions, M&A, Private Equity, and Securities practices
New York, NY – July 28, 2025 – Pierson Ferdinand LLP (“PierFerd” or the “Firm”), one of the world’s fastest-growing law firms, welcomes three (3) Partners from Fortis Law Partners LLC (“Fortis Law”), bolstering the Firm’s Corporate, Commercial Transactions, M&A, Private Equity, and Securities practices.
The appointments demonstrate PierFerd’s continued momentum and add considerable experience to key practices, accelerating the Firm’s strategy of hiring industry-leading attorneys to ensure high-quality, Partner-led client service.
Julie Herzog joins in Denver, Colorado as a Partner in the Corporate practice. She brings over 30 years’ experience advising Fortune 100 corporations, private equity and venture capital funds, family offices, and startups operating across various industries on matters including M&A transactions, IPOs, securities and stock exchange compliance, and debt and equity financings. Throughout her career Julie has handled hundreds of complex transactions valued at over four (4) billion dollars.
Prior to joining PierFerd, Julie was a Founder, Equity Partner and Head of the Corporate/Securities practice at Fortis Law, and previously practiced at Morrison & Foerster LLP, Davis Graham & Stubbs, LLP, and Jones Day. Julie earned her B.S. in Accounting and B.S. in Political Science from Oklahoma State University and her J.D. from Southern Methodist University. She is admitted to practice in Colorado.
Julie is also the Owner and Principal of Full Velocity Consulting, which provides startups with fractional C-suite support to drive scaling efforts.
Christine (Chris) B. Amrhein joins in Denver, Colorado as a Partner in the Corporate practice. She brings over 30 years’ multi-industry experience advising clients on complex commercial transactions, vendor and supply agreements, e-commerce, product development, licensing, manufacturing, global business strategy, and legal operations.
Prior to joining PierFerd, Chris was a Partner at Fortis Law and previously held various in-house leadership and counsel roles at companies such as: Advanced Emissions Solutions (now Arq, Inc.), First Data (Fiserv), The Timken Company, and TriZetto (now Cognizant). Chris earned her B.A. from Allegheny College, her M.A. from the University of Exeter, and her J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh. She is admitted to practice in Colorado.
Connor Slivocka joins in Chicago, Illinois as a Partner in the Corporate practice. He brings seven (7) years’ experience advising consumer goods, energy, home services, and technology companies on M&A transactions and general corporate matters. Connor also acts as general counsel for various early stage and venture backed technology and CPG companies advising on formation, commercial contracts, financing, and board matters.
Prior to joining PierFerd, Connor was a Partner at Fortis Law, and previously practiced at AEGIS Law and Godfrey & Kahn, S.C. advising private and public companies on M&A transactions and cross-border matters. Connor earned his B.B.A. from Marquette University and his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School. He is admitted to practice in Wisconsin.
