Matthew Rebus brings diverse corporate experience to PierFerd’s UK office

Matthew joins PierFerd’s Corporate Department in London, UK, arriving from premier Canadian law firm, Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP, based in Toronto.

He brings diverse corporate law experience to PierFerd, specializing in M&A, fund formation, private equity, venture capital, securities, structured finance, and securitization.

Matthew’s clients include both public and private entities ranging from institutional investors to high growth companies. Matthew has advised clients on market leading transactions such as: merger and acquisition transactions for both strategic and private equity participants; corporate governance and restructurings; fund formation and capital raises; and material commercial agreements.

Matthew’s recent representative matters include: a US$350 million private strategic sale in the manufacturing industry; a US$150 million cross-border private equity acquisition; multiple roll up transactions for a private equity and strategic acquirors in both the healthcare and deathcare industries with an aggregate value of approximately US$300 million; advising Kellogg Company in their separation into two independent, publicly traded companies, Kellanova and WK Kellogg Co; the take private transaction of Smart Employee Benefits, an insurance software company; and the take private transaction of Apollo Healthcare, a white label beauty product company.

Matthew holds a J.D. in Law and a bachelor’s degree, with honors, in Economics from Western University.
