Pierson Ferdinand Announces Cross-Border Emerging Companies and Venture Capital Practice

Strategic initiative formalizes offerings for emerging companies and venture investors across the U.S. and U.K.

New York, NY/London, U.K. – June 2, 2026 – Pierson Ferdinand LLP (“PierFerd” or the “Firm”) is pleased to announce the formation of the Firm’s Emerging Companies and Venture Capital (“ECVC”) Practice, a strategic, multidisciplinary initiative that brings together more than 50 Partners dedicated to supporting startups, emerging companies, and venture capital clients. The formalization of the Practice strengthens the Firm’s ability to deliver integrated services to innovators and investors on a global scale.

The cross-border ECVC Practice reflects PierFerd’s rapid expansion and the Firm’s extensive track record in the innovation economy. By uniting multidisciplinary capabilities, PierFerd is well-positioned to deliver Partner-led counsel for emerging companies on matters including entity formation, financings, capital raising, venture capital fund formation and structuring, investment structuring and management, intellectual property protection, regulatory compliance, privacy and data protection, commercial transactions, employment and equity compensation matters, tax structuring, and corporate governance.

Additionally, Partners will advise investors on cross-border deal execution, exits – including tax and estate planning impacts, portfolio investments, secondary transactions, and venture capital and private equity fund formation and structuring.

The ECVC Practice is industry-agnostic with considerable experience in technology-driven sectors such as AI, climate innovation, consumer technology, digital media, fintech, healthcare, and life sciences.

PierFerd Partners Said Ertekin and Kenneth (Ken) Liao will lead the Practice as U.S. Co-Chairs, while Will Parker is appointed as the U.K. Co-Chair. Together, they combine decades of experience in venture financing, M&A, and corporate strategy for high-growth companies, ensuring clients receive seamless, Partner-level service.

A. Michael Pierson, Co-Chairman at Pierson Ferdinand, said:

“Our ECVC Practice reflects both the Firm’s growth trajectory and our commitment to the entrepreneurial ecosystem. With a strong corporate foundation and a transatlantic platform, PierFerd is well-placed to guide founders and investors through the opportunities and challenges of high-growth markets.”

Weatherly Ralph Emans, Chair of the Corporate Department at Pierson Ferdinand, added:

“The formalization of the ECVC Practice underscores our commitment to serving the full corporate lifecycle. It strengthens our ability to partner with founders and funds from their earliest stages through major transactions, while aligning with PierFerd’s tech-enabled, collaborative, cross-disciplinary, and global model.”

With a presence in 25+ key markets across the U.S. and U.K., PierFerd’s ECVC Practice is uniquely positioned to deliver cross-border counsel for innovation-driven clients.
