Pierson Ferdinand LLP Expands Internationally; Launches London Office

PierFerd builds global presence following firm’s launch in January; Peter Finding, elite international employment lawyer, to lead London office

LONDON, 8 July 2024 — Pierson Ferdinand LLP (“PierFerd”), a technology-driven full-service law firm, announced today the opening of its London office marking the global expansion of PierFerd. The London office launches with eight partners and six staff members building on PierFerd’s more than 170 partners across 80 practice areas that serve over 20 markets.

PierFerd’s London office focuses on banking, capital markets, disputes, employment, financial regulation, immigration, litigation, mergers and acquisitions, and securities. The firm’s offices are located at 110 Bishopsgate in the City of London, the financial hub of the United Kingdom, to best serve clients across multiple markets. This strategic opening complements PierFerd’s offerings across the U.S. and cements it as one of the fastest growing law firms globally following its January 2024 launch.

In addition to the initial eight London-based partners, PierFerd Co-Chairmen, A. Michael Pierson and Joel M. Ferdinand, are affiliated with the office as registered foreign lawyers and will also be supporting clients in the region.

  • Stephen Di Cioccio, Corporate Chair, Banking and Financial Services: Stephen represents public and private business organizations, nonprofit entities, and individuals in all manner of commercial transactions. He regularly assists his financial institution clients in connection with debt financings secured by collateral ranging from accounts receivable to commercial real estate, transactions under master repurchase agreements, letters of credit issuances, assignments and participations in syndicated credits, intercreditor agreements, and various compliance and regulatory matters.

  • Carolyn Dunlop, Corporate: Carolyn advises on a broad range of capital markets matters, including debt and equity capital markets, funds, securitisation and structured products. She has extensive experience in receivables, banking and real estate financing in the U.K., Europe, the U.S., and Canada.

  • Peter Finding, Employment: In addition to serving as the head of the London office, Peter has a leading international employment law practice providing strategic advice to multinational businesses in respect of their people issues across the globe.

  • Richard Harvey, Employment: Richard Harvey is a market-leading, globally recognised, international employment lawyer. Over the last 20+ years, he has acted for a range of household-name multi-national companies. His experience has been built over a career working in leading global law firms, in-house roles, and law firm start-ups.

  • Peter Huth-Wallis, Litigation: Peter has a broad disputes practice which covers domestic and cross-border financial services, corporate and commercial litigation, shareholder disputes, contentious insolvency, civil fraud and matters involving tracing and asset recovery across multiple jurisdictions. He has resolved disputes by negotiation, mediation, arbitration (ad hoc, LCIA, ICC and ICDR and UNCITRAL), and in litigation before the High Court, Court of Appeal, Supreme Court and the Privy Council.

  • Paul-Michael Rebus, Corporate: Paul-Michael is an internationally recognised dual-qualified expert in U.S. and U.K. securities, corporate, structured finance, securitisation, funds, financial regulatory, banking, derivatives and credit derivatives. He has advised on over U.S. $300 billion in transactions over the last 20 years. Additionally, Paul-Michael has been head of finance, capital markets, securitisation and structured finance at some of the leading law firms in the United Kingdom, the United States and Canada.

  • Janis Wilderspin, Corporate: Janis has a practice serving corporate clients ranging from start-ups (often in the tech arena) and SMEs to complex and well-established groups. She provides corporate and commercial strategic advice to her clients, as well as acting on M&A work (including IP and employment aspects), company re-structuring and turnarounds, corporate financing, franchising, commercial contracts and other core corporate matters, with experience both in-house and in private practice.

  • Andrew Webster, Corporate: With over three decades of experience, Andrew concentrates his practice in the areas of general corporate, energy, and technology.
