Recent hires demonstrate PierFerd’s continued momentum and growth across key Departments

Kamel Aitelaj joins in Washington, D.C. as a Partner in the Litigation Department, bringing over 15 years’ experience focusing on complex international dispute resolution and public international law matters. He has represented sovereign states and multinational corporations in a wide range of proceedings, including investment treaty-based and commercial arbitration as well as ad hoc proceedings. Kamel also regularly advises clients on matters involving sovereign immunity, award enforcement, and public international law issues.
Prior to joining PierFerd, Kamel was a Special Counsel at Milbank LLP. He earned a L.L.B. from Paris Cité University, a DEA from Paris-Panthéon-Assas University, a DESS from Paris-Sud University, and a L.L.M. from the University of Pennsylvania. Kamel is also admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and New York, as well as in Paris, France. He was also called to the Bar of England & Wales.
Kristina M. Ash joins in Bellevue, Washington as a Partner in the Corporate Department, bringing over 15 years’ experience in the development of estate plans with a particular focus on efficient transfers of wealth under U.S. and Washington state estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax laws. She regularly advises clients on the administration of probates and trusts, including the preparation of Washington state and federal estate tax returns. Kristina also brings experience in a variety of cross-border issues including estate, expatriation, property, and tax matters, particularly with respect to Canada.
Prior to joining PierFerd, Kristina was a Shareholder of Smith & Zuccarini, P.S. She earned a B.A. from Arizona State University and a L.L.M. and J.D. from the Northwestern University School of Law. She is admitted to practice in Illinois and Washington.
Gregory (Greg) B. Perleberg joins in Los Angeles, California as a Partner in the Intellectual Property Department, bringing over 25 years’ experience representing clients in intellectual property, entertainment, and technology transactions. He assists renowned corporations, emerging companies, and celebrities in protecting their brands and content. Greg's practice areas include advertising and marketing, artificial intelligence advances, copyrights, emerging companies and venture services, entertainment law, fashion and apparel, hospitality, internet, licensing, privacy and data security, and publicity rights.
Prior to joining PierFerd, Greg practiced at several leading firms including Venable LLP and Buchalter Nemer PA. He also worked in-house at IBM Corporation and West Publishing Company. Greg earned a B.A. from Hamline University and a J.D., cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Law School. He is admitted to practice in Arizona, California, and Minnesota.
Benjamin (Ben) Qiu joins in Princeton, New Jersey as a Partner in the Corporate Department, bringing over 20 years’ experience in venture capital and cross-border M&A, with a focus on technology companies. He counsels entrepreneurs, corporate boards, investors, and multinational companies on equity and debt financing, due diligence, intellectual property, and governance. Ben is a renowned authority on issues arising at the intersection of innovation, industrial policies, and geopolitics, speaking frequently at professional and academic conferences and trade associations.
Prior to joining PierFerd, Ben was a Partner of Elliott Kwok Levine Jaroslaw Neils LLP. Previously, he was a Partner of Loeb & Loeb LLP. Ben earned a B.S. from Webster University and a J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law. He is admitted to practice in California and the District of Columbia.
