Am Law 200 talent – Ellenor Stone – brings a stellar track record of counseling on corporate employment matters
Atlanta, GA – October 28, 2024 – Pierson Ferdinand LLP (“PierFerd”), one of the world’s fastest-growing law firms, announces the appointment of Ellenor Stone as Partner.
Ellenor joins after seven years at Am Law 200 firm – Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP – and is the latest outstanding addition to PierFerd’s Employment, Labor, and Benefits practice – led by Amy Epstein Gluck.
Ellenor brings vast experience in corporate employment matters. She has counseled public and private companies, senior executives, and management teams across industries such as: software and technology; logistics; hospitality; energy; natural resources, and healthcare.
A versatile operator, Ellenor has an impressive track record advising and litigating for clients facing various labor and employment concerns. She has advised clients on matters such as executive employment; separation and release; sales of business restrictive covenants; and potentially sensitive executive departures.
Ellenor also maintains a robust HR counseling practice for employer clients, providing best practice advice on day-to-day issues and ensuring compliance with in-house personnel policies and various federal, state, and local employment laws.
Ellenor’s extensive litigation experience includes representing clients in lawsuits and administrative proceedings brought under federal and state anti-discrimination, employment, and contract laws. She has also supported investigations by government agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Securities and Exchange Commission, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration – proving her expertise in employment-related matters.
During her career, Ellenor has represented clients and management teams in over 1,000 buy- and sell-side transactions; with valuations ranging from US$25 million to over US$1 billion.
Notably, she represented public transit software provider, Routematch, in its acquisition by Uber; Hyperwallet’s management team during its US$400 million acquisition by PayPal; fraud verification software provider, IDology, in its $300 million sale to GBG; and Mailchimp in its acquisition of Sawa.

Ellenor began her legal career with a two-year term as a law clerk to the Honorable E. Clayton Scofield III, U.S. Magistrate Judge for the Northern District of Georgia. She is admitted before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the District Courts for the Middle and Northern Districts of Georgia.
Ellenor holds a J.D., magna cum laude from Georgia State University College of Law, where she also edited the Georgia State University Law Review. She is a Member of the Atlanta Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
