Experienced litigator - Rachel Rivers - brings proven experience in cyber, data privacy, and technology

Rachel joins PierFerd from Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, LLP, where she was Senior Counsel.
A highly experienced litigator with a strong track record in both state and federal courts, Rachel specializes in data privacy, cybersecurity, and technology disputes.
She has successfully defended clients in high-stakes privacy CCPA and other class actions; consumer protection cases; and technology-related litigation, securing favorable outcomes via dismissals and settlements. Notably, she resolved a USD$2 million claim for a mid-five-figure settlement, successfully preserving a client’s choice of counsel at the Court of Appeals and safeguarding executives from personal exposure, during the process.
Rachel will enhance PierFerd’s cyber-risk and technology litigation capabilities; supporting clients across a complex range of cyber and privacy challenges.

She holds a J.D. from Penn State Dickinson Law school and dual B.S. and B.A. degrees in Conservation and Resource Studies and Rhetoric from University of California, Berkeley.
She is admitted to practice in California and before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Central, Southern, and Eastern Districts of California.
