Amy Epstein Gluck joins the EEOC for “Unlocking Access: Master Class on Navigating the ADA”

On April 2, 2024, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) held a virtual workshop discussing the ADA’s requirements, neurodivergent employees, accommodations for employees with mental health disabilities, and recent caselaw involving employees with mental health disabilities.

Following the EEOC’s legal advisor, Amy presented cases out of various districts concerning defining essential functions, requests for reasonable accommodations, whether reassignment, service dogs, and telework can be reasonable, what constitutes a “direct threat” under the ADA, failure to accommodate claims, and more.

Email Amy if you have any questions about how to handle the interactive process or to address an employee’s requests.
