Said Ertekin is a transactional attorney with over 11 years of experience advising clients in private equity, venture capital, and broader corporate law matters. He most recently headed the transactional department at a boutique firm with offices in NY, NJ, and TX, where he primarily assisted SMBs, startups, and small VCs. Prior to that, he spent 10 years in the New York offices of Fenwick & West LLP and DLA Piper LLP.

Said’s career encompasses a diverse portfolio of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, venture financings, leveraged financings, strategic investments, and commercial real estate deals. He has successfully represented clients in all 50 U.S. states and across over 10 countries, acting as a trusted outside general counsel for startups and SMBs.
At Pierson Ferdinand LLP, Said will continue to bring his expertise in handling complex legal issues to a broader platform, supporting startups and venture-backed companies through their growth cycles, while also advising established SMBs in strategic transactions. Said will remain deeply committed to delivering personalized, high-quality legal solutions tailored to the needs of his diverse client base.
Said holds an LL.M. from Georgetown University, where he received the Dean’s Certificate for Special and Outstanding Service, and an LL.B. from the University of Lausanne. He is fluent in Turkish and French.
