Troy Doll brings extensive industry and legal experience to PierFerd’s dynamic Real Estate practice

New York, NY – February 26, 2025 – Pierson Ferdinand LLP (“PierFerd”), one of the world’s fastest-growing law firms renowned for its commitment to client service excellence and innovation, announces the appointment of Troy Doll as Partner.

A vastly experienced attorney, Troy has spent over 20 years advising on commercial real estate financing matters, such as structured finance transactions, securitization processes, and the restructuring of financial assets.

Clients include commercial lenders operating across the United States, with Troy providing counsel on structuring, negotiation, and documentation of first mortgage loans, mezzanine loans, and subordinate debt. He also assists lenders and servicers with commercial mortgage-backed securities and collateralized loan obligations (“CLOs”).

Troy also represents institutional investors; primary, master, and special servicers; and issuers, underwriters, and collateral managers in matters involving CMBS and CLO securitizations and other structured finance products.

Prior to joining PierFerd, Troy was a counsel at Am Law 100 firm Alston & Bird LLP, within its Finance Group. Previously, he held legal roles at Carlton Fields, P.A.; Dechert LLP; Tenzer Greenblatt LLP; and as Corporate Counsel at Marriott International Inc.

Troy also has experience with rating transactions as head of surveillance at Kroll Bond Rating Agency, head of credit review at Realpoint (now Morningstar DBRS) and lead analyst for Standard & Poor's – working on CMBS and CRE CDO transactions and developing underwriting criteria. He has experience in investment banking leading CMBS securitizations for Lehman Brothers.

Troy earned his J.D. from Columbia Law School and a B.S. in Economics from New York University Stern School of Business. He is an adjunct professor at Fordham University’s Real Estate Institute – teaching courses covering legal contracts and real estate finance – and is licensed to practice in New York and New Jersey.
