Pierson Ferdinand Boosts Private Investment Funds Practice – Jamil French Appointed As Partner
Jamil brings significant Wall Street and entrepreneurial experience to PierFerd
Miami, FL – February 24, 2025 – Pierson Ferdinand LLP (“PierFerd”), one of the world’s fastest-growing law firms renowned for its commitment to client service excellence and innovation, announces the appointment of Jamil French as Partner.
Joining PierFerd’s Corporate Department, Jamil’s practice focuses on private investment funds and capital introduction in global markets.
During his career on Wall Street as a corporate lawyer, Mr. French represented large and small fund managers, blue chip companies, investment banks, as well as lending and investing institutions. Vastly experienced in private capital law, Jamil leverages his deep understanding of challenges facing the investment community to help clients find effective solutions.
Jamil has held significant in-house roles at leading financial institutions – serving as Associate General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Sandell Asset Management Corp., as a Managing Director at Credit Suisse and as Director and Senior Counsel at Pershing Advisor Solutions LLC, a broker-dealer and subsidiary of BNY Mellon.
He is also the Founder and CEO of Arche Investments LLC, a Miami-based private placement advisory firm working with clients in the U.S., Latin America, and Europe.
Jamil has received various industry accolades, with Institutional Investor ranking him in its ‘Hedge Fund Rising Stars of 2018’. He was also recognized as a ‘Rising Star’ by The Minority Corporate Counsel Association in 2015.
He joins PierFerd from Sterlington PLLC, where he was a Partner. Jamil is admitted to practice in Florida, New York, and before The Supreme Court of the United States.
