Andrew Lurie brings vast industry and legal experience to PierFerd’s dynamic Global Media, Entertainment & Sports Practice
Los Angeles, CA – March 5, 2025 – Pierson Ferdinand LLP (“PierFerd”), one of the world’s fastest-growing law firms renowned for its commitment to client service excellence and innovation, announces the appointment of Andrew Lurie as Partner.
Highly experienced, Andrew arrives at PierFerd having spent two decades advising clients on intellectual property, music and other entertainment transactions, business structuring, employment law, and licensing matters. He joins PierFerd’s fast-growing Global Media, Entertainment & Sports Practice, which has bolstered its bench with six notable entertainment Partner additions in as many months.
Clients include major international and domestic recording artists, entrepreneurs, entities, and executives working in the music, media, fashion, film, publishing and television industries.

Prior to joining PierFerd, Andrew spent six years handling a broad range of entertainment business transactions and intellectual property matters as a partner at Sutton, Pakfar & Courtney LLP. Previously, he was a partner at BakerHostetler LLP, preceded by an in-house role at Sony Music Entertainment in New York, where he provided legal and business guidance.
Earlier in his career, he worked at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP (formerly Pillsbury, Madison & Sutro LLP) and Owen Wickersham & Erickson P.C.; both in San Francisco.
Andrew earned his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law and his B.A. in Political Science and Psychology, cum laude, from Claremont McKenna College.
He is licensed to practice in California, the District of Columbia, and New York State.
