Pierson Ferdinand Adds Prominent Healthcare GC – Ben Hefflinger – As Partner
Former in-house leader with deep experience across healthcare, digital health, telemedicine, and behavioral health sectors

Arriving with over a decade of experience, Ben has held senior outside and in-house counsel roles at a global publicly traded digital health technology company and a large behavioral health services company. As the Deputy General Counsel of the former, he played a critical role in overseeing global legal operations and leading post-merger integrations across its healthcare divisions and technology platforms.
At PierFerd, Ben will focus on advising board and C-Suite executives at healthcare and digital health companies on complex M&A transactions, healthcare regulatory frameworks, data, privacy, licensing, reimbursement, and the evolving ecosystem governing AI and technology in care delivery.
He will also play an invaluable role in enabling clients to achieve their commercial goals; having successfully led cross-functional teams and navigated complex regulatory landscapes in support of business growth and operational efficiency. Ben’s cross-sector experience positions him to support clients operating at the intersection of care delivery, compliance innovation, risk bearing incentivization, and healthcare technology.
Ben also practiced at two boutique healthcare law firms; Julie W. Allison PA and Weiner, Lynne & Thompson P.A.; representing clients in healthcare, behavioral healthcare, commercial litigation, real estate, and land use matters.
Licensed to practice in Florida and Pennsylvania, he holds a J.D. from Florida International University College of Law, and B.B.A.s in Management and Marketing from Florida Atlantic University, summa cum laude.
