Distinguished litigator assumes key leadership role

Jill, a PierFerd Founding Partner and distinguished litigator, previously served as Deputy General Counsel.
In her new role as Global General Counsel, Jill will oversee PierFerd’s legal compliance and global risk management strategies. Working closely with the C-Suite, she will ensure adherence to the highest standards of professional conduct, while providing advice on risk management, ethics, and legal compliance matters.
Drawing on her significant litigation experience representing clients on complex commercial matters in state and federal courts, Jill is ideally positioned to help PierFerd navigate an evolving legal landscape. Across her career, Jill has achieved successful resolutions on matters as varied as shareholder and intra-company disputes; restrictive covenants; ERISA litigation; insurance litigation, white-collar criminal defense matters; and parallel civil actions.

Before joining PierFerd as a Founding Partner, Jill was an Assistant General Counsel at an Am Law 200 firm. Previously she was a partner at Lauletta Birnbaum, LLC, and spent nine years at Fox Rothschild LLP in Philadelphia.
Jill earned her J.D., cum laude, from Rutgers University School of Law, where she served as a teaching assistant while also working full-time for the New Jersey Office of the Public Defender in Camden, New Jersey. She also interned for the Honorable Joseph H. Rodriguez in the U.S. District Court, District of New Jersey.
