Outside of her Global General Counsel role, Jill has significant experience representing clients in both federal and state courts on complex commercial and business-related litigation matters, including oppressed minority shareholder and intra-company disputes, shareholders' rights and derivative litigation, restrictive covenants, contracts, ERISA litigation, insurance coverage litigation, and products liability cases. Jill has also represented businesses, executives, professionals, and other individuals in federal white-collar criminal defense matters and parallel civil actions, and she has considerable experience in medical malpractice and personal injury matters. Through her diverse practice, Jill has appeared before numerous state and federal trial and appellate courts and has substantial trial experience in complex civil jury trials and commercial arbitrations. She is also proficient in all forms of alternative dispute resolution, including AAA arbitration, common law arbitration, and mediation.

Jill's extensive experience and proficiency in civil litigation, combined with her strategic oversight as Global General Counsel, make her an invaluable asset to PierFerd.

Before Pierson Ferdinand

Prior to being a founding partner and Global General Counsel of PierFerd, Jill was a litigation partner and Assistant General Counsel of an AmLaw 200 law firm. Before that, she was a partner at Lauletta Birnbaum, LLC, in New Jersey. Earlier in her career, Jill spent nine years as an attorney at Fox Rothschild in Philadelphia.

Jill attended Rutgers University School of Law while also working full-time for the New Jersey Office of the Public Defender in Camden, New Jersey. While at Rutgers, Jill served as a teaching assistant in the Legal Research & Writing Program and was a member of the Rutgers Journal of Law & Religion. In addition, she served as a legal intern for the Honorable Joseph H. Rodriguez in the U.S. District Court, District of New Jersey.
