Pierson Ferdinand Adds Trademark Specialist to its Intellectual Property Practice
Brand strategy expert, Christine Baker, joins as Partner - bolstering trademark portfolio management expertise
Boston, MA – August 20, 2024 – Pierson Ferdinand LLP (“PierFerd”), one of the world’s fastest-growing law firms, announces that Christine Baker has joined as a Partner.
She will join PierFerd’s Intellectual Property (“IP”) practice - primarily practicing in Boston, MA; Washington D.C., and California.
Christine arrives with substantial experience in trademark law, having previously managed trademark portfolios for growth companies and large corporates. Her clients operate across various sectors including beauty, biotechnology, education, jewelry, pharmaceuticals, software, and sports. Christine’s counsel helps companies build and protect their brands domestically and internationally.
She has played a key role in the growth of small companies’ trademark portfolios and conducting due diligence on portfolios for potential acquisitions. Notably, she managed the trademark portfolio of First Aid Beauty prior to its $250 million acquisition by Procter & Gamble in 2018. She also managed the global trademark portfolio of Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare, LLC prior to its $450 million acquisition by a multinational consumer goods and beauty corporation earlier this year.
Joining PierFerd’s highly talented IP department, led by Co-Chairs Christopher R. Kinkade and Naira Simmons, Christine will focus on expanding PierFerd’s capabilities in trademark law and brand strategy.

Before joining PierFerd, Christine spent several years at FisherBroyles, LLP, Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton LLP, and Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C.
Christine began her legal career as an attorney at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office - developing a deep understanding of trademark applications and brand protection.
She holds a J.D. from Suffolk University, Boston, and a bachelor's degree from Providence College.
