John Booher brings public and private M&A experience to PierFerd
Palo Alto, CA – August 19, 2024 – Pierson Ferdinand LLP ("PierFerd"), one of the world’s fastest growing law firms, announces experienced M&A specialist, John H. Booher, has joined as a Partner.
John arrives at PierFerd following over six years as a Partner at Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton LLP in the San Francisco Bay Area, preceded by 15 years at Hogan Lovells LLP.
A leading M&A practitioner, John has advised domestic and international clients across a wide range of matters, including mergers and acquisitions; private equity and venture capital transactions; public and private company securities offerings; corporate governance concerns; and business formation processes.
He has worked with clients across high-growth, innovative, industries, such as life sciences, healthcare, satellite / aerospace, transport, and technology. In the field of healthcare, John regularly represents a leading global laboratory services company in various acquisitions and other strategic transactions.
John has also represented renewable energy and IT services clients in go-public business combinations; advised private growth companies on financing rounds; and represented private equity and venture capital firms in numerous portfolio investments; building close relationships with entrepreneurs and asset managers.
John is licensed to practice in California, Georgia, Maryland, and New York. He will join PierFerd’s Corporate Department and its growing Mergers and Acquisitions Practice.

John holds a J.D., cum laude from Harvard Law School, and a B.A., summa cum laude from The College of William and Mary.
