About

Cherish De la Cruz, Esq. is an experienced estate planning, probate, and business attorney dedicated to helping families and entrepreneurs protect what matters most — their loved ones, legacies, and life’s work. With over 20 years of legal experience, she brings a unique blend of technical expertise, compassion, and strategic insight to every client relationship.

  • Her passion for estate planning began in 2013, after losing a close family member to cancer. While managing her aunt’s affairs, she witnessed firsthand the emotional and financial stress that can arise without a well-structured plan. That experience — coupled with her perspective as a mother of three and daughter of aging parents — drives her commitment to helping others prepare with clarity, care, and confidence.

Cherish’s background spans estate planning, probate, elder law, business succession, and regulatory compliance. Prior to founding her own firm, she served as Senior Counsel and Deputy Anti-Money Laundering Officer for a national insurance and investment company. She now collaborates with financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals to design comprehensive, customized strategies for individuals, families, and business succession for small businesses.

Licensed in both Georgia and Florida, Cherish works with clients virtually across both states and within international and immigrant communities.

An active leader in the legal and civic community, Cherish served on the Georgia Supreme Court Committee for Non-Lawyers and currently serves on the Finance Committee for the State Bar of Georgia, the Board of Directors for the Catholic Foundation of North Georgia, Board of Directors for the Georgia Asian Pacific American Bar Association (GAPABA Law) Foundation, Board of Directors for the Lake Lanier Rowing Club and the Board of Directors for the Women’s Collective. She is also:

    • Past President, Georgia Asian Pacific American Bar Association (GAPABA)

    • Past Chair, Elder Law Section, Atlanta Bar Association

    • Founding Board Member, Exit Planning Exchange (XPX) Atlanta

    • Legal Chapter Director, What Women Want Networking

    • Past Board Member, Mosaic Georgia

    • Graduate, Leadership Gwinnett (Class of 2019) and Atlanta Catholic Charities Leadership (2021)

In 2017, the Georgia Asian Times named Cherish one of the Most Influential Asian Americans in Georgia.

A longtime Gwinnett County resident, Cherish lives with her husband, Justin, and their three children — Emma, Sophia, and Aidan. She is a devoted parishioner at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, where she volunteers with ministries supporting aging adults and families.

At the heart of her work is a simple truth: Estate planning is an act of love — a way to honor the past, protect the present, and prepare for the future.
