Adam has advised and led cyber incident responses for various entities in sectors including Finance, Healthcare, Energy, Manufacturing, both privately held and publicly traded. In his capacity as lead incident response attorney for these incidents, he has advised entities pursuant to State & Federal law, as well as industry specific regulatory frameworks such as FINRA, HIPAA, FinCEN, Critical Infrastructure Reporting, SEC reporting framework, ISO/IEC 27001, as well as PCI DSS standards.
Adam underscores his legal expertise with a series of technological credentials so that he better understands the underlying technical implications of each unique data security or data privacy matter. This skillset allows him a more comprehensive understanding of data security issues and corresponding legal obligations.
Certified by the International Association of Privacy Professionals in both domestic and global privacy frameworks, Adam has a unique understanding of the point of intersection between the law and emerging technologies. He has written on topics including the Internet of Things, connected cars, and the legal implications of Artificial Intelligence.
His experience as an entrepreneur has proven invaluable in understanding the unique challenges faced by various startups and advising them in a manner that effectively aligns their business, legal, and operational needs.
In addition to a robust background in cyber security and data privacy, Adam has considerable experience investigating and vigorously defending white collar criminal matters at both state and federal levels.
