  • A seasoned attorney, Ms. Hosey has excelled in civil litigation defense, successfully navigating complex medical malpractice trials and negotiations. Her comprehensive expertise extends to technology and intellectual property matters, corporate governance, and employment practices. With a meticulous approach, she has consistently achieved favorable outcomes for her clients in federal and state courts. Ms. Hosey has served as in-house counsel to successful woman-owned and veteran owned federal government contracting firms. With a proven track record of legal victories and a commitment to innovation, Ms. Hosey is a visionary legal strategist, seamlessly blending traditional legal acumen with a forward-thinking entrepreneurial spirit.

    Before starting a family construction company and inventing her patented, construction data analytics software, CTBIM, she successfully litigated medical malpractice matters defending doctors, nurses and hospitals in both trials and motions practice. She has also served as part-time in-house counsel to government contracting firms in the construction, program management and cyber-security spaces in the metropolitan Washington, D.C. area.

    Some of the notable successes realized during Ms. Hosey’s legal career include the following:

    • Provided counsel to a panel of 3 federal court judges responsible for oversight of a $3B products liability Trust;

    • As first-chair, obtained a defense verdict for a malpractice insurance carrier for a medical malpractice case against a physician;

    • Obtained summary judgment in favor of a physician in a medical malpractice matter;

    • At trial court level as first chair, successfully argued a novel interpretation of Virginia’s Lemon Law, winning a verdict for a Fortune 25 company that was later upheld in the Virginia State Supreme Court (authored the successful state Supreme Court brief);

    • Authored an opposition to a Petition for Appeal of ADA and EEO claims against a banking institution, resulting in the denial of the Petition.

    • Successfully defended multi-million dollar same-sex sexual harassment suit on behalf of individual and corporate defendant through independent investigation of facts underlying plaintiff’s claims and aggressive motions practice.

    • Successfully negotiated settlements of shareholder derivative lawsuits.

    • Successfully defended premises liability lawsuits for a Fortune 500 retailer.

    • Appealed adverse CPARS performance ratings by various government agencies.

    • As second chair, won 7 trial verdicts in medical malpractice cases for hospitals, physicians and insurance carriers.

    • Recognized speaker domestically and internationally as a subject matter expert on data privacy and data ownership in construction technology and real estate
