About
Terria Hutchinson is a litigation attorney with extensive experience representing businesses, insurers, and individuals in complex civil litigation matters. Her practice focuses on personal injury, casualty and insurance defense, premises liability, wrongful death, and transportation-related litigation. Terria brings a unique perspective from representing both plaintiffs and defendants, allowing her to anticipate counterstrategies and develop practical, cost-effective solutions for her clients.

Prior to joining Pierson Ferdinand, Terria served as in-house litigation counsel for Union Pacific Railroad Company, where she advised operational leadership and managed high-exposure litigation across multiple jurisdictions. In addition to litigation management, she provided day-to-day counseling to business leaders on risk mitigation, employment matters, and regulatory compliance.
Terria previously practiced at regional litigation firms where she represented clients in personal injury, medical malpractice, business litigation, labor and employment, and construction matters. She has served as lead counsel and co-counsel in numerous cases and has obtained favorable results through mediation, settlement, and trial. Her experience on both sides of the docket provides her with a comprehensive understanding of litigation strategy from inception through trial.
