About

Rich Reiter is an experienced attorney responsible for overseeing complex commercial, privacy, cyber, technology, media, intellectual property, employment, real estate, title dispute, healthcare and insurance matters. He provides counsel so clients may achieve cost-effective and timely resolutions of business disputes. Rich serves a broad range of clients from multi-billion dollar venture capital firms and international insurers to small and medium sized entities found on main street.

  • Cyber/Privacy

    Rich provides pre-incident, incident response and post-incident privacy counseling to clients. As an incident response coach he leverages existing relationships with business partners to efficiently manage client concerns during ransomware attacks, business email compromises, fraudulent funds transfers and other privacy matters. Focused on mitigating any potential harm, Rich oversees forensic investigations, coordinates with IT, evaluates notification obligations to impacted individuals, collaborates with public relation firms, helps provide access to credit monitoring services and call centers, works with data recovery and restoration firms, assists with regulatory disclosures and provides guidance to clients to limit the likelihood of a third-party claim. Rich has also handled numerous third-party claims arising out of cyber incidents, including regulatory investigations and class action complaints. In addition, Rich advises clients on pre-incident cyber awareness by addressing privacy compliance, risk mitigation, incident response plans, vendor contract exposures and other pre-incident privacy related concerns.

    Technology/Media/Intellectual Property

    Rich counsels clients concerning technology and media related issues ranging from alleged failed software implementations to deceptive trade and false advertising practices. Rich also works on trademark and copyright matters to protect the client’s intellectual property interests.

    Employment

    Rich helps clients navigate employment liabilities with respect to discrimination, wage/hour, wrongful termination, disciplinary and performance management issues, retaliation, disability and other employment related matters before state and federal courts as well as administrative agencies.

    Title Disputes

    Rich represents clients regarding title disputes involving priority of interest, liens, easements, boundary/survey, encumbrances, fraud, forgery, filings problems as well as other title related issues.
