Newton Quantz is a member of the Corporate Department. Newton represents emerging and established companies in a range of legal and business issues with a focus on technology licensing and commercial transactions.

Newton’s legal background includes both private practice and in-house representation. As in-house, general counsel, Newton helped position two separate privately-held software companies for acquisition, then guided each through their respective merger transactions. He advises his clients across a range of legal practice areas, including:

• Software (on-premise and SaaS) licensing arrangements and related support and professional services contracts
• Reseller, distributor, and referral arrangements
• Software, technology, and web development agreements
• Protection of Intellectual Property Rights

Newton also assists his clients with: (1) the development and implementation of internal procedures that streamline and reduce their contracting cycle and (2) the efficient organization of their material legal files in anticipation of an acquisition due diligence process.
Newton received his Juris Doctorate degree, cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1991. Newton received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Davidson College in 1987.
