Pierson Ferdinand Honors Jewish American History Month
As we end Jewish American Heritage Month this May 2024, we recognize the enormous contribution that Jews in America have made to society in general and to law, in particular, like the inimitable Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg. In this era of ever-rising anti-Semitism, we honor Jewish Americans and our Jewish partners. We revere the contributions, culture, and values that our Jewish members have brought and benefit from their perspectives in our practices. We are stronger together.
As Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. told the American Jewish Congress in 1958:
“My people were brought to America in chains. Your people were driven here to escape the chains fashioned for them in Europe. Our unity is born of our common struggle for centuries, not only to rid ourselves of bondage but to make oppression of any people by others an impossibility.”
Where discrimination and hate exist, the strength of inclusivity and love prevail.
