Representative Matters

  • Obtained favorable arbitration award on behalf of a corporate seller of business assets in a post-acquisition dispute.

  • Authored Petition for Review that resulted in the Texas Supreme Court granting certiorari to hear pro bono case involving summary judgment burdens.

  • Obtained favorable settlement on behalf of a former executive in connection with his breach of contract and fraud claims against his former employer.

  • Successfully obtained dismissal of a lawsuit filed against an out-of-state airplane dealer based on personal jurisdiction.

  • Represents collegiate conferences in multiple class actions and antitrust matters.

  • Served as first-chair trial counsel in the successful defense of numerous breach of contract and tort disputes nationwide on behalf of a major wireless carrier.

  • Secured favorable arbitration award on behalf of a major wireless carrier in breach of contract and invasion of privacy action.

  • Served as counsel in appeal before the Texas Supreme Court raising novel questions about legal and evidentiary standards in summary judgment proceedings; appeal resulted in a decision in favor of the client, reversing the trial court’s improper summary judgment, and clarifying summary judgment standards for future litigants.

  • Obtained favorable settlement on behalf of a property owner in a seven-figure dispute with a contractor regarding improper billing by the contractor and the owner’s termination of a construction contract.
