About
Matthew C. DiMaio is a Junior Partner in Pierson Ferdinand’s Litigation Department. He focuses his practice on complex litigation matters as well as business and real estate transactions. Additionally, he has experience in music and entertainment law and intellectual property law, specifically in the copyright and trademark arenas. Some of this experience involves counseling creators, litigating royalty payment disputes, and negotiating agreements, including but not limited to, recording agreements, distribution agreements, music publishing agreements, and talent agency agreements.

Matt earned his J.D. degree from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law. He received his B.A. degree, cum laude, double majoring in Communication and History with a minor in Modern Russian Language from The University of Scranton and was a member of Men’s Varsity Cross Country team for four years. He also coached high school cross country and track and field at a high school in the greater Philadelphia area for several years.
Matt is also on the Board of Directors at the Philadelphia Music Alliance, a community-based not-for-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and promotion of Philadelphia’s rich musical legacy, supporting the current music scene and mentoring the next generation of music makers.
