About
Eric Kohli is a distinguished intellectual property (“IP”) attorney with over 26 years’ experience protecting clients’ intellectual property. That includes IP development, prosecution before the United States Patent & Trademark Office, licensing, and enforcement.

Eric has represented Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 clients. He is recognized for his outside-the-box thinking, innovative problem-solving skills, and relentless pursuit of clients’ goals. Clients ranging from large corporations to small businesses value Eric’s proactive counsel. Eric’s ability to understand his clients’ particular objectives while working within their financial constraints has made him a trusted counsel.
Eric’s focus includes patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, and unfair competition. He has successfully litigated IP infringement cases, both offensively and defensively. His IP prosecution and enforcement extends globally. Eric is also a published author and speaker on IP law topics.
Eric holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and a J.D. from The John Marshall Law School (Chicago). He is admitted to practice in Illinois, Missouri, Nevada, and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Eric has served on the board of the South Asian Bar Association of Las Vegas since 2019, currently serving as President.
Eric’s extracurricular activities include representing children pro bono, serving on the attorney disciplinary board for the State Bar of Nevada, and serving as a mediator for fee disputes for the State Bar of Nevada.
On a personal note, Eric moved to the United States, alone, at the age of 17 and put himself through engineering college and law school. He is a passionate scuba diver and an adventurous foodie, exploring top diving spots around the world and pursuing culinary experiences from accomplished chefs.

Successfully appealed and reversed summary judgment for theft of client’s pharmaceutical technology. H&H Pharmaceutical, LLC v. Chattem Chemicals, Inc. et al., Case No. 23-15055 (9th Cir. 2023).
Obtained a substantially favorable settlement for theft of client’s trade secrets. CHGYM, LLC v. Moavenzadeh et al., Case No. 1:21-cv-00343 (M.D.N.C. 2022).
Aggressively pursued trademark infringement for 80s rock band, case settled favorably. Steve Lynch v. Bigg Time Entertainment et al., Case No. 22STCV21696 (Los Angeles Sup. Ct. 2022).
Achieved a substantially favorable settlement for client in a trademark infringement action. Leon Enterprises, Inc. v. Benjamin Gonzalez, Case No. 2:2019-cv-01672 (D. Nev. 2019).
Pursued trademark infringement and breach of contract claims for TV celebrity. Luxx International, LLC v. Pure Water Technologies, LLC, Case No. 2:23-cv-00512 (D. Nev. 2023).
Pursued action for electronic theft of client’s financial assets by overseas defendants. Minjae Kim v. John Does 1-10, Case No. 2:22-cv-00816-DWL (D. Ariz. 2022).
Pursued trademark infringement action against a venue hosting a band violating client’s trademarks. Steve Lynch v. Leatherheads Sports Grill, LLC, Case No. 2:23-cv-00343-JNP-DAO (D. Utah 2024).
