About

Elizabeth focuses her practice in the areas of mass tort, toxic tort, and product liability litigation in state court throughout New York and in federal court. Her clients have included manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, contractors, technology corporations, and transportation entities.

  • Her experience also includes commercial and class action defense litigation. She has litigated appeals of several issues of first impression for premises owners and ship owners.

    Elizabeth has served as a member of numerous bar association committees, including the Litigation, Product Liability, Tort Litigation, and State Courts of Superior Jurisdiction Committees at the New York City Bar Association. She has also taught Continuing Legal Education courses, including a litigation skills workshop and a product liability course.

Representative Matters

  • Achieved a decision unanimously affirming summary judgment for a premises owner in the first appellate asbestos case under the New York Labor Law.

  • Obtained a dismissal during jury selection in a high exposure products liability case against a manufacturer.

  • Negotiated dismissals of almost an entire inventory of toxic tort litigation against a large international technology corporation, including several hundred cases in state and federal courts, including Multidistrict Litigation.

  • Lead counsel for a contracting company, several public transportation entities, and a foreign automobile manufacturer in toxic tort litigation in state court.

  • Lead counsel for a component part manufacturer in toxic tort litigation in state and federal courts.

  • Lead counsel for a railroad in occupational chemical exposure cases in state and federal courts.

  • Represented numerous subcontractors in more than 10,000 cases in the World Trade Center Disaster Site Litigation in federal court.
