About

Ms. Jones brings a diverse background to Pierson Ferdinand having had tremendous success in the courtroom as lead trial counsel in the firm’s national litigation practice, bringing her business acumen as prior general counsel to national companies in industries such as staffing, manufacturing, and real estate investment funds to smaller privately held businesses, she offers a unique perspective to her clients.

  • Ms. Jones offers guidance in matters such as business disputes, contract drafting, negotiation, leasing, landlord/tenant issues, and employment disputes. While serving as General Counsel at Flexible Executives, LLC, Ms. Jones successfully negotiated contracts with Regus, Wachovia, and the U.S. Department of State to develop strategic partnerships for this national staffing company.

    Having a background in litigation provides Ms. Jones’s clients with a unique perspective to help advise them on issues as varied as business disputes, to less confrontational matters such as drafting, negotiating and navigating contracts or employment matters because she has litigated many of the same issues in court. In addition to serving as an outsourced General Counsel to numerous businesses, Ms. Jones has successfully litigated hundreds of cases in Georgia serving as lead trial counsel in numerous jury trials, bench trials, and arbitrations.

    Since returning to private practice, she has been extremely successful as lead trial counsel in numerous trials, arbitrations, and mediations in sophisticated business and intellectual property disputes. Recent accomplishments in her national practice have included: reaching a lucrative arbitration award in a real estate dispute arising out of a family owned business; successfully representing former officers and directors in securities litigation after wrongful “take-over” by minority shareholder; successfully defending fee dispute in patent infringement case; obtaining mistrial and then immediate settlement in corporate and real estate dispute between partners; procuring settlement in favor of corporate defendant in breach of supplier agreement case; and procuring employer decisions, either through agency findings, summary judgment, or trial in various employment matters.

    Ms. Jones has also represented clients in drafting and dissolving partnership agreements, litigating breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, intellectual property disputes including trademark and copyright cases, unfair and deceptive trade practices act, covenants not to compete, and all manner of real estate disputes.

    Outside of practicing law, Ms. Jones is extremely active in fundraising for autism related causes, having founded the Believe in Me Foundation, Inc. which has raised more than $500,000.00 to help educate children with autism. She has previously served as the Family Services Liaison for Autism Speaks in Georgia, and was the president of her neighborhood association. Ms. Jones is very active in the Brookhaven community where she lives with her husband and three boys. In her free time, Ms. Jones enjoys watching her boys play lacrosse, basketball and baseball.
