Ms. Jones brings a diverse background to Pierson Ferdinand with more than twenty-five years of experience in both the boardroom and the courtroom. Having served in-house as general counsel to a Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) spun off of investors from an international property development firm, as well as a national staffing company, along with her prior litigation success, she is uniquely positioned to bring her business acumen to her clients to whom she offers guidance as outsourced general counsel in all areas of real estate, leasing, contracts, manufacturing, construction and business.

Having a background in litigation provides Ms. Jones’s clients with a unique perspective to help advise them on issues as varied as leasing and business disputes, construction and property disputes to less confrontational matters such as drafting, negotiating and navigating contracts, leases, manufacturing agreements, and employment matters because she has litigated many of the same issues in court. In addition to serving as an outsourced General Counsel to numerous businesses, Ms. Jones has successfully litigated hundreds of cases in Georgia serving as lead trial counsel in numerous jury trials, bench trials, and arbitrations.
Ms. Jones also represents clients in the construction industry, including the negotiation of AIA agreements, drafting and dissolving partnership agreements, lease agreements, drafting and negotiating manufacturing agreements, development agreements and transactions, including the acquisition of a multi-parcel property for the development of a hotel in Inman Park, Atlanta.
Recent accomplishments in her national practice have included: obtaining title via adverse possession to a lucrative parcel of an alleyway in the City of Atlanta, reaching a significant arbitration award in a real estate dispute arising out of a family owned business; successfully negotiating the termination of a business partnership between fifty-fifty owners in a small business; successfully representing former officers and directors in securities litigation after wrongful “take-over” by minority shareholder; obtaining mistrial and then immediate settlement in corporate and real estate dispute between partners; procuring settlement in favor of corporate defendant in breach of supplier agreement case; and procuring employer decisions, either through agency findings, summary judgment, or trial in various employment matters.
Outside of practicing law, Ms. Jones is extremely active with her three sons who have varied interests. Her oldest son is a thespian who attends Oglethorpe University. Her middle and youngest sons both play lacrosse with one attending a Division I college lacrosse program in North Carolina, and the youngest in high school beginning his recruiting process this year. In her spare time, Ms. Jones and her husband own and operate a lacrosse club in Atlanta, Georgia. She has also been an active fundraiser for autism related causes, having founded the Believe in Me Foundation, Inc. which raised more than $500,000.00 to help educate children with autism. Ms. Jones lives in Brookhaven, Georgia where she is also an active member of her community.
