Ms. Bott has decades of legal experience and business knowledge serving industry and business clients on all types of matters relating to environmental, energy, natural resources, mining, construction and real estate issues.

As both a business owner and a business executive for a publicly traded Fortune 500 company, Ms. Bott is in a unique position to serve as “trusted legal counsel” to industry and business clients because she understands the needs and pressure points that come with managing both complex litigation as well as complicated mergers and acquisitions.
Ms. Bott has extensive experience in public speaking, persuasive advocacy and strategic planning. She has presented more than 50 appellate arguments and served as litigation counsel in over 100 matters, including jury and bench trials in federal and state courts as well as regulatory tribunals.
Ms. Bott has negotiated the terms of hundreds of contracts, PSAs, permits and rulemaking packages.
Ms. Bott served as lead regulatory counsel for all aspects of the development of a 4-billion-dollar coal-fired power plant project in Meigs County, Ohio. Functions associated with this role included: negotiating the terms for the purchase of more than 1,000 acres of contiguous property for the site; obtaining zoning approvals; obtaining all relevant environmental and natural resource permits; leading the development of coal and natural gas delivery systems; overseeing project development teams and equipment evaluation (including the turbines and pollution control equipment); successfully defending the project as lead counsel for all resulting litigation stemming from the project (including challenges by national NGOs); participating in city council and other meetings to subscribe the project to municipal members in a multi-state region.
Ms. Bott served as a Part 71 Commissioner for the Federal District Court, Southern District of Ohio for compensation trials associated with 100 land easements obtained for the development of the Rover natural gas pipeline.
