Andrew is sought after by film and television development and production companies, motion picture sound stages, marketing companies, international franchising entities, location-based entertainment, multi-artist music specials, on-screen talent, and writers, among others. During his 35+ year career, he has provided counsel to clients in connection with the development, production, acquisition, financing, licensing, marketing and distribution of content for motion pictures, television, video, the internet, virtual reality, other traditional and emerging media, intellectual property and employment matters.

Before turning back to private practice, Andrew held the positions of General Counsel and Senior Vice President of Legal and Business Affairs for Turner Entertainment Group, and Deputy General Counsel for Turner Broadcasting System based in Los Angeles and Atlanta, participating in the launch of Turner Network Television, Cartoon Network, Turner Films, Turner Classic Movies, the acquisition of New Line Cinema, Castle Rock Entertainment and Hanna-Barbera, the merger with Time Warner, oversight of the 5000+ title MGM, Warner Bros and RKO Libraries, and legal oversight of Turner Sports and World Championship Wrestling.

In those roles, Andrew designed and negotiated production, financing and acquisition agreements for dramatic live action, documentary and animated programming in long form, short form and series formats for traditional networks as well as digital media, including original programming, theatrical films and off-network series from major studios such as Disney, Sony, Universal, Warner Bros., New Line, Paramount and MGM. He developed and implemented guidelines for on-air, web site and off channel advertising and sponsorship agreements, promotions, contests and sweepstakes, and he supervised trademark and copyright registration and enforcement. He also provided oversight of labor and employment including executive employment agreements and guild relations with The Screen Actors Guild, The Directors Guild of America and The Writers Guild of America and served as Turner Film’s designate to the AMPTP.

He has also worked extensively in multi artist music based television projects and has worked with the Grammys, the Latin Grammys, MusiCares, the Country Music Awards, the Los Angeles Philharmonic and PBS.

Andrew began his career with a California-based law firm representing writers and directors, among other clients, in film and production, talent-related and general intellectual property matters.

He interned for the Office of the Attorney General for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts while earning his law degree and, after graduating, served as law clerk to the Trial Department of the Massachusetts Superior Court.

Prior to law school, he studied music earning an MA in Music Composition, was commissioned to compose the ballet score for the Buffalo Inner City Children’s Ballet “A Visit to Transylvania” and won the New York State Young Composer’s Award.

He is an Adjunct Professor at the Georgia State University College of Law where he teaches Entertainment Law, a member of the Georgia Screen Entertainment Coalition and an Advisory Board Member of the Creative Media Industries Initiative.
